If you had two lines of business, one netting $3.2 million over the last five months and the other netting ($1.2 million) over the last five months, which one would you feed? What if I told you that the opportunity cost of feeding the loser is an additional $250K per year? Would you continue to sink money into a loser? What if I also included the information that the unprofitable line of business had never been profitable? Would you still continue to allocate it resources or overlook it's cash burn rate?

If you're us, you will. Ack.
